At least the sink and bathtub seem to be original. I've no idea why the medicine cabinet above the sink is missing.

The window coloring is the modern vinyl stained glass look film. I am a bit worried we may find some rot around the window, given how much water seems to have beaten the wood up on the window trim.

PO remuddled what's normally 1' floor tile on the walls beneath the chair rail. That will be going away as soon as I can manage it.

Based on what the neighbor said, I thought this was the kitchen back when, because the half bath upstairs looks like it used to have a tub, and the sink is not original from what I saw so far. I honestly don't know if they would have gone to such lengths as to have the curve over the tub and such if they did remove fixtures from up there to put down here.

If we do find out later that it is what they did, I don't think we'll reverse it even if it would be more true to the original. Part of why we loved this home is I have bad knees and hips in my family, and when I get older the first floor bath and bedroom/office might be easier for me.

Let's take a walk upstairs next.
