Gorgeous place. That is definitely a Craftsman aka Arts & Crafts style bungalow. It has the brackets, built ins, woodwork, gabled dormers and other features of the style. My house is the same style, also built in 1928, in MI. I love your archway with the shelves. Somebody opened up the archway in my living room before I bought the house. I don't know what it was like before but I would like to do it like yours someday.

Thank you for all of the extra information. The more I hear from all of you, the more I wonder about all the little details of the house. Your interest is infectious! I'm glad that we don't have to pull years of paint off of everything too! We go back to the house mid-May to put on a new roof. I can hardly wait. I will post pictures of the process and result. I'll also let you all know if I find out any more info about the house while we are home. Thanks again!
