Re: Does Corsetiére do Manual Labor? What do you guys think?
That makes sense , especially if you picture a car going down the highway and over a bump. the forces of the wheel going up and down would be so much higher with heavy wheels it would probably seriously mess up the way it handles. let alone that the water can't compress like air can. might make the...

Re: Does Corsetiére do Manual Labor? What do you guys think?
I find that kids today really don't have any clue about the stuff they're selling at places like farm supply stores and hardware stores. I recently bought a couple of cases of windshield washer fluid at Tractor Supply and had to spend about ten minutes with the kid explaining how adding weight to a ...

Re: Saggy Dang DAP
If you can't get Sarco, which is really great stuff, then consider trying Sherman Williams "66". I've had far better results with it than DAP. You do need to let it cure before painting but I've gotten away with not doing that in some cases. I have yet to have a window fail in many years.

Re: Question for the windowfolks
I always set up my hangers to keep the wood storms from resting on the sills. Tacks would work as well I suppose. It would make the initial install go more smoothly for sure. Typically I'll slide a spacer under the window to hold it up off the sill until the hangers are attached then it's never an i...

Re: What's wrong with this picture?
I like color. And a bit of chaos. A house like that would demand constant cleaning and primping. Far too high maintenance. Also, I didn't see a cat in any of the pictures.

Re: What I did at my house today...
Not much happening here this year. We had our willow tree trimmed and I believe it's going to survive the trauma. It was really bad. I'll be building a new gate for the back yard driveway in a bit and a movable bar/prep area for the outdoor pizza kitchen. We blew a lot of cash on a trip to Italy thi...

Re: Ceiling Removal questions
Plywood is a wee bit expensive and heavy. I'd sheet rock the ceiling and then apply the tile to it. It's not like you'd have to go any further than basic taping on the joints so most of the work is eliminated. Your best bet would be to nail up strapping on 12 inch centers to the existing ceiling, ha...

Re: What I did at my house today...
Had to hire a tree trimmer attempt to save my aging willow. I suspect it's a goner but we're going to give it a year and see if it bounces back. The top half was so bad it fell apart when they put the pull ropes on the upper leaders branches. Our working theory is that the reflected heat from the ne...

Re: What I did at my house today...
Ugh. Hauled ten loads of brush from trimming the hedges, mowed, trimmed, moved things from their winter place to their summer place... and now it all needs done again except for the hedges. It never ends and I'm getting more broken down every year. Judo last night has me feeling like I've been in a ...

A few bucks of scaffolding would be great. Regular frames are five feet high and walking frames are e eight feet.
