the home inspector will not check on work with no permits in my area. that's done by the town inspectors. we just sold and purchased a new to us home (1926) . we had 3 town and 1 fire inspect. they checked dates on the a/c, hot water heater etc. you pay now or you don't get a CO. to transfer. the ho...

my old house (1950) had French drains. and 2 sump pumps in both corners. the rear one would pump all the time. my wall were always dry and the system worked great .

understood. we just moved into a new house 3 months ago. im not looking. I sold my 1951 cape( still has a original full pink bathroom my wife hated ) and we brought a 1926 I think oversize craftman bungalow. best of luck on your purchase.
