The last few days, I got an outside plug installed on the S side of the home as well as getting some shaky ducting straightened out in the basement. Tomorrow, I'll star back into window restoration.

Well thanks for the compliment, just doing the same thing every one else is doing here in the district.

Well folks, upper management dragged me off to garage sales this AM. Look what I found for a measly sixty Canuck bucks.

They don't fit any of my modern (1962) cold air vents, YET. A rainy day or winter project.

Score! Rare to find them with the surrounds, let alone at that price. I have been retrofitting my place with them. I hand make sheet metal boots to sit below and connect onto the forced air system - little tip: add some dampers to the ductwork too

Those are gorgeous! I have a very similar one to the bottom register, and I managed to get it to work with a modern vent in my addition. I converted to antique registers in almost all the vents except the really narrow ones where I got those Acorn reproductions, which are pretty nice too.

Those surrounds are amazing...really good find.

Folks, the time has come for Gothichome to get a new lid. They're on the job first thing this morning. Plan is for three days work.

We have a remote broadcast crew on route to get all the action, well maybe a little bit of the action.
Oh, got that set of Windows done a couple of weeks ago (for those who were waiting for an update :lolno: ).
