Starting about a month early this year. I have 6 basement windows on the driveway side to do. I'll have to work around the weather and the early sunset.
On these I remove the entire window frame, restore it and install the frame. So most of the work can be done inside. I still have to strip the paint and glazing in the cold garage. Afterwards I'll install the security bars I made last year and the curtains.
Never ending windows
Re: Never ending windows
Those look great; such nice work!
Re: Never ending windows
I guess the basement windows will be a nice change from the larger double hungs--more manageable and the work goes more quickly...oh, and no ladders!
as always, impressed....

Re: Never ending windows
I'm doing 3 at a time. All had rot in sill, more than I can epoxy. 2 were really bad and I suspect the other 3 have rot as well. So for the first time I had replace wood.
Tomorrow I'll strip the paint and remove the glass.
Feels good to be back working on the windows again. I'll sure miss this when their done.

Re: Never ending windows
I had a 4 days off this weekend so I got a bit done on the next 3 basement windows. All 3 needed new sills. Waiting on things to dry/cure and I should wrap these up this week/weekend.

Re: Never ending windows
Once again Matt, well done. At the pace your getting things done I'm beginning to think you are two people. I see you also found time to change out those cement stairs to th porch. That should realy help with damp issue in that corner.
