My 1880's Whatever-the-heck-it-is

Post by BlakeHillHouse »

:D

So glad to see the new board! Thank you for keeping me in the loop.

We own an 1880's conglomeration. I cannot put my finger on the architecture. It has two "sister" homes in our town. Once is a straight-up Victorian, and the other is similar to ours, but even larger.

We have 4000 square feet of everything from perfection to near-squalor. We are located in Western NY.

We have been having some exterior painting done, so here is a recent picture of the painting in progress.

I also keep a blog. The address is http://www.BlakeHillHouse.com

Looking forward to participating on the new site here.

Same here! Nothing brings back a place to its full glory like a nice restoration and paintjob!

Thanks! When you mention the wood ceilings, do you mean under the porches? I'm not sure what you are remembering.

Likewise and thanks! Whenever I find a restoration blog I bookmark it right away and enjoy looking thru it!

And I must say, I've never seen such a unique looking house as yours!
