Re: New here but not to old houses
Thanks! Yeah, I have been a big supporter of old windows. If I had the time and ability to reglaze and repair the existing windows I'd consider trying to keep them but I have neither. There are some pics of my "little" gem on my paint scheme dilemma post in the non-tech forum.

Re: Craftsman paint scheme dilemma
Also, this not a historic district by any means. It's a smaller country town. You know, where old is just OLD to a lot of people. I am pretty sure the trim will not be an issue to anyone and since there aren't a lot of other "old" house touches (ie, no built ins) if I can make it look good...

Re: Craftsman paint scheme dilemma
I dropped over there quickly, trying to juggle a couple things here today. I also hate the word, but it at least defines the idea here. I love this house (one of my fav styles) but I have no use for almost 1800 sq ft. I currently live in about 750 sq ft. This will be my second one-my first was actua...

New here but not to old houses
I have been around OHW before although I've mostly gone dormant there as other things have taken over my life! I currently live in a 1950's summer cottage that we've made a full time home. It's an eclectic mix of vintage cottage and rustic-it was a flip many years ago and I think they were opposed t...

Craftsman paint scheme dilemma
Hello all! I bypassed the intro board, I'll circle back later but wanted to get this up as I have limited time for decision making. I am in the process of buying this gem: http://photos.zillowstatic.com/p_f/IS2fcm9rygyj3t1000000000.jpg It's a late 1920's (mostly) brick bungalow. As much as I HATE th...
