Re: The bungalow project

Also, that yellow trim around the window will be painted gray, it just got put back up. The pantry to the left is because the depth of the wall between the door and sidewall isn't enough to fit a standard cabinet. It was between that and a bath vanity, but they didn't have a vanity in this cabinet s...

Re: The bungalow project

Getting there on the kitchen and upstairs bath. Here is the current state of the kitchen. Butcher block counters to d...

Re: Baby steps towards the future gardens of Beebe

I was going to say Luna as soon as I saw the pic. I don't think devils paintbrush is a native but I could be wrong. I just remember seeing it a lot growing up and for some reason my grandparents always pointed it out. They were both super into plants, although they didn't really have huge gardens (t...

Re: Stain in hardwood

I have seen that too, I will look for it. I also have what has to be a pet stain in another room that I am trying to avoid sanding. I was hoping someone had tried peroxide with good results since it is inexpensive and less mess/invasive than sanding it patching.

Thanks for the reply!

Re: Baby steps towards the future gardens of Beebe

I'd read up on irises a bit, as we have a few evidently different varieties, based on size alone. Here's a fun shot I managed today--still haven't found our better cameras. http://www.thehistoricdistrict.org/app.php/gallery/image/703/source That there is a daylily bud. If it is larger in height and...

Re: Does anyone sell plants or crops from their home?

I have. Mixed results, found I needed to bring them in at night or if not home due to theft. It did work though. Now I save them aside for a plant swap instead. You might also check houzz or with a local garden club to see if there is one in the area. The one I go to I found on gardenweb, which is n...

Stain in hardwood

I have this line stained in the floor, it is where a seam was in old linoleum, years of dirt and who knows what. It sanded out some but would peroxide help?
