It's NOT hard and the results are SO rewarding!!

Yeah...he was certainly a sick ticket! When he split up the farmland & sold the lots, there was a stipulation that the buyer (or his heirs) could not sell the land to any person of color for 25 years! The first buyers of the property sold the land 3 years later, leaving out the "color"...

Seems there was an instance in Gothichomes history were first cousins crossed well over that line. The resaults were banishment to the US, Pennsylvania I believe. LOL! Stirring up some trouble with our PA friends! I did find in the census records some wild stuff with the farmer who used to own the ...

I agree Mick! Back in the early 1900's, this was a very small community as well. My place remained in the Eastham family for many years, but many siblings and nieces & nephews married into the Sillman clan. Lots of overlap, but not any "close" marriages, if you get my drift! LOL
