Re: Lead paint test failure

If you are tossing it all (or nearly all), why did you move into the old house? I'm confused.

Re: The cedar shingle project

Looking good! Hope you feel better as back aches are zero fun at all.

Re: Non-Electric Outdoor Lighting

I'm having a hard time envisioning it, but can you use a porcelain fixture?

Re: 1889 Romanesque - possible purchase, need help!

That place will be back in the market in similar condition with a year or two provided they want to "do it right." If they shingle roof and don't care about the inside, then perhaps not. You did your due diligence, but no one should take a bath on a house if it's cost prohibitive.

Any update on your house, AMRose? I got to the end and really would like to know if you pulled the trigger!

Re: Official architectural renderings...Want feedback please

I don't think you're nuts. It needs to be perfect to you. I know it's frustrating but I'd rather overpay and get exactly what I want than under pay and get something upsetting. If that means scrapping this guy and going with the woman a town over, so be it (IMO). Hang in there, it will come together.
