Re: Anyone have experience with vintagedoors.com?

Sorry Vala, didn’t mean to highjack your thread. But the offer to BBQ steak and supply the wine will still be good next year, should your choice end up being Hoffmeyers. About what time in the day did you get the email. I was there today(Hoffmeyers) and mentioned your name. Maybe it reminded him of...

Re: Anyone have experience with vintagedoors.com?

Well speak of the devil, Hoffmeyer's emailed me basically telling me moldings or screen doors would be 1 year backlogged... Am so glad I just ordered my moldings elsewhere, can't wait a total of 2 years for moldings (seeing as how I first asked them about moldings last summer) Although this thread h...

Re: Anyone have experience with vintagedoors.com?

Update, the phone call worked, got a estimate cost. Now all I need to do is get one up to thier shop. They (as mentioned) have a three moth back log still. But the project is going in the right direction now. That's good to hear. Kinda surprised it's only 3 months not 6 or more. Because it's normal...

Re: Anyone have experience with vintagedoors.com?

Vala, JJet, thanks for the insight. I’ll contact them the old fashion way, by phone. Vala, you can still deliver your screen door yourself. Drive to Chatham, we have a spare bedroom or two. I’ll throw a steak or two on the BBQ, drink a little wine into the evening and watch my river go by. We can g...

Re: Anyone have experience with vintagedoors.com?

Vala, did you have any issues with Hoffmeyers not returning Emails? Sent one off at the beginning of last week, haven’t heard a peep. Yes, I've had a LOT of issues with them for probably the past 6 months... not returning calls/emails and not giving any price quotes. I'm sure you remember the moldi...

Re: What I did at my house today...

these look nice and vintage m Yea I've noticed that, but regardless I don't understand the habit of throwing away screws for hardware, aside from whether or not you care if they're flat blade or not, it's an inconvenience and sometimes a hassle to have to buy new screws for hardware, matching screw...
