Re: The bungalow project
So I've been waiting to post the final outcome until I knew it. The Bungalow Project shall remain mine for a while, I have signed a lease for it. A lovely family with 4 children will be moving in shortly. The market has cooled off a bit with back to school so I could choose to hold it a while, reduc...

Re: who has two houses?

Re: Neglected italiate
Some more cool stuff. Also I've never seen trim like this with exposed screws. Oh and four seat outhouse with a side door/clean out. It has integrated gutters as well however all of the downspouts failed and caused a lot of rot

Neglected italiate
Went and looked at a property today. Too much work needed for the asking price but some nice features. One or two weird "features" like what appears to be a chicken coop in the basement and a room I just can't explain at the rear. Two stories high plus a little to the roof completely unfin...

Re: Pre-1900 Bungalow?
So I was out near the house again today looking at a different property so we went by it again-this time there were about 8-10 people working on it. No one looked particularly contractor-esque so we stopped to talk to them. Turns out a big family group of about 40 people got together to go in on it!...

Re: 1862 Greek Revival Farmhouse in Michigan
I will say one thing I've learned is unusual doesn't mean never done. The Bungalow has been all kinds of "thats not how it should be", including the single window on one side of the fireplace without a matching one on the other side-and since it's brick it really was built that way. I'm in...
