Re: Is Florentine Glass still produced?

Yes, it is available new. Any good stained glass shop ought to have some on hand or be able to order it. A 24 by 30 inch piece was something like thirty dollars new, and maybe 15 to point and glaze it in the sash I had already prepared.

starting is the easy part. I could do that ! ;-)

Oh, I could start a hundred of them..... getting any of them finished is a song for another singer, though.

Re: Installing Porch Windows

If you could put them in without tearing the outside siding off, you could photograph the vinal coming off and windows peeking out and make a case for repairing an existing porch.

Might work. .gov over reach is one of those things that I take delight in foiling.

Re: 'nother fiddle!

I never could read round notes, I can fake it by ear pretty well, and read both system of shape notes, but that about sums it up.

Nice door! Put a big call bell and two screen door springs on your closet doors, so when you hit the button they roll open and the bell dings! You'll have everyone inside there looking for the buttons for up/down! Such fun!

Re: 'nother fiddle!

Such fun! I get concert violinists upset because I play around with all those odd tunings that are good for a certain key or two but no account for some others. I particularly like sawmill and Deadman tuning because we play lots of things in D.
