What are the finishes on these windows?
Hello all, I actually had found some windows from another house in my town that actually are a perfect match for some of my windows. So I decided to use them, the only modification I had to do was change the bevel on the bottom rail from 6° to 21° for my sills. I am currently stripping these windows...

We have had a big mouse problem lately, between our cats and the mouse traps we caught 9 in the past month I want to say. We never had them this bad in previous years.

One new discovery is that the fishscale shingles have a decorative floral pattern embossed on the surface ! It was invisible under the paint, so I was really surprised to see it. Today was overcast - great for scraping - though a sunny day with harsh shadows makes the pattern much more visible. It ...

Yea for some large panes, I've used broken off matches as settling blocks to keep the glass from sinking downward too. For smaller panes it's not needed though. Anything taller than 24" I would use them.
