I agree! Our house is a someone crazy mish-mash of "solutions" in parts of the house. I'm always scratching my head trying to figure out what the original configuration must have been.

Thank you, everyone. It feels amazing to be done with it. It's the last huge cosmetic change we need to make. We will do the upstairs bathroom at some time, but that should not be as costly.

Now, we should just have to sit around and wait for things to break. I'm sure we won't be waiting long. :icon-lol:

I will sure try to. Now that our summer work is wrapping up, I might have more time. I really want to see how everyone is doing with their houses. I imagine plenty got done over the summer.

Phil, what an incredibly informative and helpful post. Thank you so much. Yes, our timeline is definitely too short for a full finish. We were actually able to move it to the 23-27 of this month. We will do the real finish work the first three weeks of July while the contractors are not in our home....
